Big Ten Rentals, Inc, is a fast-growing rental company, specializing in tents and party equipment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual that can keep up in a fast-paced environment with a great ability to multitask.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and resolving inquiries in a timely manner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and has strong communication skills.

Pay:

$18/hr to start.

Requirements:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting clients in coordinating their events with tents, stages, tables, chairs, and other event needs.
  • Truck rental operations for Penske Truck Leasing.
  • Creating and preparing official documents.
  • Merchandising display floor/showroom.
  • Cleaning and testing equipment, including linens, audio/visual systems, lights & drape.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service and telephone skills. Must be able to multitask at high levels, be organized, able to work independently, and be computer savvy. The ideal canidatate must be able to work weekends and an average of 40+ hours per week. Sales and office experience is preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Assisting clients in coordinating their events with tents, stages, tables, chairs, and other event needs
  • Truck rental operations for Penske Truck Leasing
  • Creating and preparing sales contracts
  • Merchandising display floor/showroom
  • Cleaning & testing equipment, including linens, lights, and audio/visual systems
  • Answer incoming customer calls and respond to inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Assist customers with placing orders, processing returns, and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Conduct outbound calls to follow up on customer inquiries or to provide updates on orders
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Utilize sales techniques to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages is a plus
  • Strong phone etiquette and active listening skills
  • Ability to analyze situations, think critically, and problem-solve effectively
  • Proficient in data entry and navigating computer systems including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, patience, and empathy when dealing with customers
