685 Seats | 15-Row Grandstand & 10-Row Bleacher at Emporia State University | Welch Stadium, Emporia, KS
Big Ten Rentals delivered one 15-Row Towable Grandstand | Seats 412 | 45′ Long and one 10-Row Towable Bleacher | Seats 273 | 45′ Long to Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.
Together the two units add 685 seats of portable spectator seating for Hornets football at Francis G. Welch Stadium.
In early September 2026, Emporia State closed the east-side stands at Welch Stadium after structural deficiencies were identified. To keep student seating available for the home opener, the university added portable bleachers in the north end zone. Our 15-row grandstand and 10-row bleacher were pulled for that job — one of each — and staged on campus ahead of Saturday’s home opener against Michigan Tech (Home Opener / Black Out Welch).

Combined capacity: 685 spectators. That lines up with the roughly 700 portable seats ESU announced for the north end zone, with a VIP tent planned alongside.
Both units are highway-towable grandstand-style seating we deliver across the Midwest and the contiguous United States. We usually handle delivery and setup on units this size because of weight, height, and truck requirements.
Welch Stadium still has the renovated west stands open. Visitors were relocated to Section Q on the south end of the west side. The portable seating is for students and overflow so the home schedule can continue while the east side is out of service. After the Michigan Tech opener, ESU still has home dates against Nebraska-Kearney (Family + Friends Day), Missouri Western, Central Oklahoma, Central Missouri (Homecoming night game), and Washburn.
Need temporary seating for football, soccer, graduation, or a stadium that’s short on capacity? We stock 10-row and 15-row 45′ hydraulic units and deliver them ready to set.
