Clearspan Tent Setup | 2026 Kalona Special Workhorse Sale – Bigger & Better at Kalona Sales Barn

We’re excited to announce we’ve been hired back by the Kalona Sales Barn Inc. for their legendary 2026 Kalona Special Workhorse Sale – eastern Iowa’s premier draft horse extravaganza on February 2–3, 2026! Featuring an impressive 1,186 catalog lots—including top-quality ponies, horses, and horse teams up for bid.

This year’s event was bigger and better than ever, drawing horse enthusiasts, buyers from across the country (and even Canada!), and top-quality draft teams, riding crosses, ponies, mules, and more to the ring. To handle the crowds and keep everyone cozy amid potential winter weather, we stepped up with two massive clearspan structures – including a huge 60′ × 230′ Losberger Clearspan tent (that’s 50 feet longer than our 2024 setup of 60′ × 180′!) plus an additional 49′ x 66′ (15m x 20m) Liri clearspan structure for rent for extra space and flexibility.

We outfitted them with full white PVC sidewalls for wind and weather protection, plenty of bright LED high-bay UFO lighting to keep the action visible from dawn to dusk, heavy-duty power extensions, and all the pro setup support needed (including reach lifts for safe install/tear-down). The result? A spacious, well-lit covered arena perfect for spectators, exhibitors, and those impressive horse parades – no matter what Mother Nature threw our way.
