40′ × 80′ Fred’s Rope & Pole Event Tent at Coe College Homecoming | Cedar Rapids, IA
Big Ten Rentals delivered and professionally installed a 40′ × 80′ Fred’s Rope and Pole Event Tent on the Coe College campus lawn in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for Homecoming 2026.
This 3,200-square-foot tent gives Coe a weather-protected gathering space on the quad for the college’s Homecoming weekend and 175th anniversary celebration, October 1–3. Classic Homecoming programming includes reunions, the Homecoming Showcase Concert, Athletic Hall of Fame events, the traditional Brat ’n’ Beverage Tent, and Saturday’s Homecoming football game vs. Loras at Clark Field.
A 40′ × 80′ rope-and-pole tent is built for that kind of weekend. It covers food service, beverage stations, and standing or seated alumni traffic without needing a permanent structure on the lawn. The high-peak Fred’s profile photographs well against campus buildings, and the vinyl top handles typical early-October Iowa weather — overcast, wind, and the chance of rain.
We set the tent on grass with a full stake-and-guy-line install so the structure is ready before guests arrive Thursday. Sidewalls, lighting, tables, and chairs can be added if the college needs a tighter enclosure later in the weekend.
